May 2010
We have been staying active in our community and our local church while making shorter trips out up to a day’s ride away for a few days at a time. Times are changing and people are still feeling the financial crunch. Unfortunately we have not been able to make any bus trips due to finances. But we keep moving forward for the Kingdom.
On May 9th, (Mother’s day) Kenny had to come back from church that morning in pain. We waited about an hour and he just got worse. I took him to the emergency at 10:30 am. After a long day in the emergency room, it was a twisted hernia. Kenny had surgery on Monday May 10th. He is still limited in what he picks up and he is moving a little slow but he is doing well. Now we are looking down the throat of some major medical bills. We know God will provide.
We are applying for financial aid with the hospital for the doctor, emergency room and surgery bills. We are collecting the information we need for the process.
I started working part time at a couple of jobs. Nights at Kohl’s and mornings at our local Supermarket.
We are believing Kenny will be up to normal in no time. He is still planning on leaving out for Sturgis this summer. He will leave a couple months in advance because he will make several stops in several states.
